Eating out for lunch is becoming a regular thing at the moment. Almost turning into an unhealthy habit but when you are invited out to lunch by one of your favourite bloggers, you simply cannot say no!
Heading into Soho, all wrapped up against the cold, ready to meet Angie from Silverspoon London and Kelly from Flat Eleven for a vietnamese inspired lunch. I’ll be honest, I have never had Vietnamese food before so I did not quite know what to expect!
Out of the cold, into the warmth, I was warmly greeted by Angie and we sat down and started to chit chat over some sparkling water whilst we awaited Kelly’s arrival. I had not seen Angie since our last get together at Chotto Matte after the Zomato event, so it was lovely to catch up again.
Shortly after, Kelly arrived, it was the first time that Kelly and Angie had met after following each other for quite a while, mandatory introductions were carried out and then we settled to look at the menu.
We decided to go for the A La Carte menu instead of the lunch menu, since we were all feeling a light lunch.
All the food on the menu looked so yummy, it was genuinely difficult to make a choice. I was loving all the different flavours and ingredients that were matched together, some things I would not have thought to put together myself but it certainly sounded delicious!
As a huge meat and chicken lover, it only felt right to go for the beef fillet thick rice noodle rolls.
There were more rolls across the table. Kelly went for the pickled vegetable summer rolls and Angie went for the steamed prawn summer rolls.
A trio of yummy rolls! A thumbs up from all the diners, they were definitely a winner for all of us.
My two beautiful lunch dates. Sadly the lighting behind got the better of this picture, but without a doubt, they still look magnificent! I am genuinely lucky to have become such close friends with these two.
It was time for the next course…
I think you could all predict what it was going to be? Chicken of course! The smokey chilli glazed chicken wings just stood out to me the most. The waiter disclosed that they did have oyster sauce over them, but with that still in mind I was determined to try them. Lovely and spicy, they went down a treat. The oyster sauce complemented the dish beautifully and that is shocking coming from somebody who strongly dislikes seafood!
Kelly went for the seafood ceviche which was a mix of prawns, sea bass, scallops, mangosteen with truffle oil and coconut jus.
Angie went for the salmon tartare which was served with a quail egg on top, soy vinaiagrette, shiso, jicama, pistachio and chilli.
Again, another round of thumbs up. By this point, I was definitely a fan of House of Ho!
Finally, to finish what was so far a delicious meal with some tea and coffee.
Angie had blood orange tea, which came out as a lovely ruby red colour. Angie described the taste as a nice bitter orange flavoured tea, a winner in her eyes.
Kelly and I opted for the iced Vietnamese coffee which was positively delicious. Sweet and creamy, it was a lovely way to end a smashing meal!
I loved House of Ho. Hands down, one of the best restaurants I have been to lately. The service was excellent and very attentive, the food was out of this world and the atmosphere was so chilled and peaceful. Along with great company, it made a lovely afternoon out with some old blogger friends.

I can’t believe your speed! Great post. what fab food it was!!
Lots of love,
Angie

Haha! Like I said over lunch, I like it to be fresh off the boat! It was great indeed, thank you Angie!
I love vietnamese food!!! First time I had it was actually in Germany and was in love with all the flavour and freshness. Have to try that one than. I miss those vegetable rolls already. Yummy!
I’m so in love with it now! You must try House of Ho, you will love it!
Im sure I will! Have tried Pho in Chiswick and westfield but it’s not that awesome. So looking forward to follow your recommendation 🙂
Great to find another restaurant that has great alternatives to fish dishes. Always on the look out for great places to eat in Soho and I’m sure I’ve overlooked this place a few times!

Definitely give it a try! There are so many places in Soho that I love. I could literally just spend my days eating in the area. 🙂
I’ve been wanting to head here for ages, but never seem to make it. I hear they do a great brunch as well, so that’ll be on my must do list!
Definitely take a visit, you won’t regret it! I’ve heard great things about the brunch too… maybe it’s one for all of us to get together for! 🙂
I’m so jealous! I love Vietnamese food so much ever since I was there for 4 months last year and there’s no Viet restaurants in Bulgaria. Luckily I went back on holiday now so I don’t miss it so much yet haha, but when I come to London we should go there!
