It had been a while since my last cupcake tasting, so it was well overdue that I went again just before I headed into my February detox.
If you do not follow Felicia who blogs over at Dancing In High Heels, you really should. Her Instagram feed is literally #foodporn galore!
She was the perfect person to ask to take me to somewhere new to try some delicious cupcakes, so we walked through Soho and got to Crumbs And Doilies.
Wait until you look inside… it is cupcake heaven!
If your mouth is not watering by this point, you truly aren’t a cupcake lover. It was heaven for Felicia and I.
Not only did they serve cupcakes, they also served a few other delicious and unique delights too…
I definitely had to refrain myself from having a bit of everything. I am sure if I did, Felicia would have had to roll me out of the shop for sure!
Our justification was instead of ordering one of the big cupcakes, we could order two mini ones and taste two different flavours rather than just one.
Be both decided on the Earl Grey cupcake, but we deviated from the trend for the second one. I went for the rolo cake and Felicia went for the coconut and raspberry one.
My favourite thing about Crumbs and Doilies is that the cupcakes change daily, so you will never have the same two types of cupcake twice (or very rarely!). It is a like an exciting surprise every time you visit. Is this an excuse to visit regularly? No Aftab, NO!
If you have not visited Crumbs and Doilies, you definitely should. If you have, you should go again, because there is a 99% chance you have not tried the new cupcake variety on offer!

Ahhh.. the cupcakes look lovely.
Lots of love,
Angie

They were great!
Great cupcakes although the Pretzel Cake is the winner for me! Interesting that you’re detox is in February, not January. Is that because you didn’t want to make January any more glum than it already is?

It looks so big and sugary, it would be too much in one go. Haha, that and the fact that I have eaten out so much through January, that my body requires a good detox!
Ooh, you had more interesting flavours than when I went I think!
All the more reasons to go again!
Oh man. I need to go there now. I literally can’t say no to a cupcake. *sigh*

You’re just like me Catherine, it’s a real struggle!

You should!! Yeah you can, there are around 4 seats… not a lot but if you go during a quiet time of the day there will definitely be a spare seat!
I haven’t tried their cupcakes in ages, must pay a visit. Earl Grey is always my top choice too.
You need to go back! 🙂
I WANNA GO OMG!!! Please can we add this to the massive list of places you need to take me when I move?! xox
Consider it done! 😀
Aww I love Crumbs & Doilies – I found them at a local market a few years ago. I’m so happy they’ve opened a shop, and can’t wait to visit it! Great post, fellow cupcake lover. 🙂
Tell me what you think what you think! Thanks a lot Sarah! 🙂
Yum!!!
Yum indeed!
Oh my lord, I am salivating over that caramel pretzel cake. And the cupcakes look divine! Great recommendation Aftab – I think I’ll need to go in and buy a box soon! 🙂 xx
