Many have said, “Oh, you’re Muslim so why do you take a part in Christmas?” Well after all we do live in the United Kingdom where its classed as a public holiday – so why not join in with the festive cheer?! There is no wrong or right, its all just a bit of fun!
We did the traditional putting up of decorations prior to Christmas, and I must say our tree looked pretty awesome. As they say, mum’s know best!

To a lot of people, Christmas is about getting presents and things but to me its the total opposite. When you are at university, you realise that family is more important than anything else so you just appreciate and look forward to spending time with family more than anything. That’s what this Christmas was all about – although I am very thankful for the gifts I did receive! (Thanks Mum, Dad and Shamina)
Nothing beats a sit down meal with the whole family, with a good old roast and a few glasses of wine, nothing beats it really! It’s a lovely way to celebrate a festive season, after all Christmas only happens once a year, so why not make a little extra effort.

All in all, Christmas 2013 was another fabulous Christmas spent lazing around, eating and watching Christmas movies, absolutely blissful. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
I’m already looking forward to Christmas 2014, not even sorry! 😉
