Rooftop Dining At Le Chalet

Hop on a ski lift, right to the top and join us in Le Chalet on a cold blustery evening for some fine dining at height.

The lovely Zoe, who blogs over at Love And Limoncello and I got together for a catch up. It had been a while since we last met each other at a bloggers meet-up and a chat was well over due. What a better way to do it over something we both love, food!
We made our way to Selfridges and took a non stop lift straight up to the fifth floor, where we were greeted at the entrance of Le Chalet.
The warmth took me away, as I came in from the bitter cold outside. Instantly making me feel all festive. I was definitely ready to snuggle up next to that tree with a hot cocoa and make a fire with those logs, but I had to get myself back to reality… I was here to have dinner with Zoe!
Parading down the walk way, I felt like a VIP making my way to our dinner reservations.
Having a dinner with this view one side and the other side, the skyline of London… I was in complete admiration, falling in love with the big smoke again.
With ourselves settled, we ordered a starter to share. A delicious pumpkin humous and flatbread. The humous had a sweet taste, not something I would normally like but it just went really well together with pieces of pumpkin on the top. Divine!
My lovely foodie date for the evening. Doesn’t she look magnificent?! So glam!
Where as on the other side of the table… not so glam! 😉
Pictures aside, we tucked right in and had a good old gossip over with a glass of wine in our hands.
We were then ready for our main courses, even after quite a filling starter.
I went for the Le Chalet burger, which boasted guacamole, chunky onions, tomato, club sauce and a well seasoned beef patty.
Zoe went for the pork ribs that were glazed with apple sauce and slow cooked for nine hours!
We decided to skip dessert but we had a little roam around Selfridges instead. A lovely end to a Tuesday if I say so myself.
Le Chalet is definitely a place to try, to get you into the festive mood and for some smashing food. Luckily, I had brilliant company to go with it too!
