Life Lately Number Two

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Most of you knew what I was up to by keeping touch via social media but to those who just follow my blog and not my social media channels here is why I have been so quiet. Finally, the time has come… i’m almost at the end of my university degree studying Biochemistry. The past couple of months have been full of deadlines, coursework pieces and most of all my thesis hand in. Safe to say, I got through it all (I don’t know how myself, but I did!). However, next up is my final exams but I don’t plan on being as quiet as I have been… Definitely missed sharing my life with you all in detail.

I’ve also missed doing my monthly round up for February and March but instead I just thought I would give you a whistle stop update on the past month. So grab a coffee, a couple of biscuits and settle down in a nice comfy chair.

The last you all heard from me was about my breakfast with the blogger girls at The Delaunay. If you haven’t read it, you better had! There is a lot of #foodporn in there, that’s for sure. (So don’t read it if you’re starving!)

Back in March, I went to a series of fun events. One was with Hovis, who had released their new and healthy super seed chia bread. We had the challenge to make the best sandwiches based on the ingredients spread across the table. A super fun and creative way of getting bloggers together. Following that event, Sheepa and I went onto the Langham Hotel to try Cherish’s take on Easter Afternoon Tea.

Towards the end of the month, my parents visited for 6 days as my sister and I didn’t have the chance to go home. It was so much fun playing tourist in our own city, but also nice to get out and about with our parents. A browse through Harrods was a must after indulging in a luxurious afternoon tea at the Hilton Hotel in Mayfair.

As my parents left to go back home, it was Tabl’s community founders event at The Clerkenwell. An amazingly planned evening (Thanks Tazz!) full of food and many familiar faces. Every time I turned my head slightly, there was somebody I already knew or had spoken to on social media.

As April was welcomed, I was invited to the launch of the Langham’s new afternoon tea with Wedgwood. Cherish was up to her old tricks, making gorgeous pastries for us. The new Wedgwood afternoon tea has launched now, so be sure to try it out.

Doesn’t it look delicious? I’m already craving another visit!

That same evening, I popped on over to Rah Rah Rooms to celebrate the launch of Boohoo Man’s launch as their own brand. No longer a sub-division of Boohoo.com, they are now their own stand alone menswear brand which is fantastic. It was so nice to catch up with my fashionista friends whilst I was there too.

Things quieted down in my life then on as my thesis deadline was fast approaching, but on the 12 April… I handed it in, bound and complete. A huge weight of my shoulders.

After a couple of days of celebrations, like breakfast at Dickie Fitz and dinner at Chop Shop, I find myself here reviving my blog with all the will and energy I have to make things a bit more exciting in my life.

What have you all been up to this past month, anything exciting?

Until next time…
