Since coming to uni, i’ve had to think about every meal very carefully… I can never figure out what I want to eat?!
I have food moods whether i’m feeling down, happy, adventurous, my mood will affect what food I eat. Weird huh? (Well I never said I was normal!)
The first day I had pasta, as it was the easiest thing to eat of course, being a new student and all.
The second day also continued with a pasta dish as I was definitely feeling home sick… so it was a day for bland food that would match my mood.
As the days went on, I decided to be a bit more adventurous and eat different food, so I ventured onto spaghetti. First meal I cooked from scratch… keeping on the pasta line as I slowly weaned off being home sick. The outcome? Let’s just say that my mum cooks it way better… but not bad for a first timer!
Today, I was definitely in a healthy mood, after joining the gym again and having a proper workout and all. I had chicken, boiled potatoes and mange tout.
If you’ve never tried mangetout, you’re missing out so much. Fried with a bit of oil, seasoned with some salt and some chilli powder, you have a perfect meal accompaniment Best of all, it’s healthy and tastes amazing.
