Firstly, I am going to apologise for posting this at 9:52pm on the day that it should have been posted. It has been such a busy day and I have been rushed off my feet but of course I have a challenge to keep up on and my favourite readers to write for – keeping up the blogging spirit!
Today is day 5 of the blogging challenge and the topic is a book that I love. This is the second challenging post, two days in a row because sadly I am not a big fan of reading to be honest! However, if somebody tells me a really good book to read that I know I will enjoy I do have a read of it. This book is so far my favourite (even though I have not finished it yet!) out of all the past recommendations. ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ was recommended by my cousin Naushad in Bolton when I was there for my eldest sisters’ wedding.
I know that a lot of my blog readers are huge on reading, so I am sure most of you have read this book already. I must admit though, this book has encouraged me to read more and I probably will find another book to indulge into after I have finished this one – so recommendations are very welcome.
The Fault In My Stars has stood out to be in particular because it was not the sort of book I thought it would be for starters. When I went to purchase this book in Selfridges, I was told that it would be found in the ‘kids’ section – even though I had explained it was an adults book but none the less I still bought it. When I first started reading it, I was hooked, literally could not put the book down. The author John Green has a fantastic style of writing that really grabs the reader and makes you feel the emotions that the characters in the book do. Initially, I never knew it was a book on a cancer patient, if I knew that before hand I wouldn’t have probably pursued my promise to read it , as books like that definitely make me extremely sad and emotional. There was no turning back now, I had started it already and quite frankly I was not ready to give it up quite yet, I wanted to know what happened next!
Never being able to imagine what it feels like for a close member of your family having such a disease, I really sympathised for Hazel’s mother and father and what they are having to go through. I can feel their pain and at points I have to stop reading, because it gets a bit too much. I have a rough feeling as to where the book is heading and if I am correct, bring on a river of tears and a throbbing heart. Personally, I think it is going to feel like my heart will have been ripped out, as I feel for Hazel’s family members and of course Augustus (aka Gus) but I am ready for it, lets see what adventures occur!
If you have not heard yet, The Fault In Our Stars is actually being made into a movie. The trailer has already been released, so I recommend you head on over and give it a cheeky watch. I am so excited for the movie, but I want to finish the book before watching it.
Have any of you read The Fault In Our Stars? What do you think of it? If you have not yet, would you?
Thanks for reading,

I feel awful at having not read this yet! I only finally jumped on the Looking for Alaska band wagon last year and fell hopelessly in love with John Green's tragic writing style – I just feel that I'm not emotionally ready to tackle another of his books yet!
The Life & Times of Belle
It is definitely one to read though Belle! After this, I am probably going to move onto Looking for Alaska as my flatmate has also recommended that!
