As silly as I am, I actually forgot to write and schedule this post for all you wonderful people. I was doing so well and to think I lacked and almost forgot to do a post?! At least it has been posted on the 3rd day at least, even if it is a bit later than I expected to post.
We have reached day 3 on the 30 day blog challenge, where I talk about my favourite programme. I did not even have to think twice about this one – there is only one programme that I have actually gone through the effort to watch the entire series through for a second time, purely because I missed it. If you know me well, you will probably already guessed by this point. For those who are still getting to know me it is the one, the only amazing Desperate Housewives.
If you have never seen Desperate Housewives, I am going to tell you now that you are missing about big time! I would recommend it to anyone, it is a show that always has twists that you never saw coming and always leaves you coming back for more. Sadly, it has now finished but it does consist of 8 intriguingly juicy seasons – hopefully I will own the box set one day. (that was a sly hint!) People tend to look at the name of it and think it is going to be another pathetic reality show, I mean I did too so I can see where others relate.
A very well summarised plot about Desperate Housewives, if this does not make you want to start watching it, I don’t know what will?!
“The ‘normal’ suburban life for a
group of close-knit housewives takes a dark turn when one of their closest
friends mysteriously commits suicide. Now while trying to deal with their own
hectic problems and romantic lives, each year brings on a new mystery and more
dark and twisted events to come. Life behind closed doors is about to be
revealed as suburban life takes a funny and dark turn.”
My favourite housewife has to be Gabrielle Solis (aka Gabby) who is played by Eva Longoria. She is a young sassy ex-model who has the best and most hilarious quotes. She is probably the one that surprises me the most episode to episode as she is not huge on showing her emotions to her friends but certainly she does have a soft side deep down. She is an extremely likeable character, you cannot help but just love her!
A little charmer from Gabby: “I know it is hard to believe that the little acorn gave birth to the mighty big oak, but believe me, it did!” (It is funnier when you actually watch the episode it is from!)
Who has already watched Desperate Housewives or is intrigued into watching it after this post? I want to read all your views!
Thanks for reading,
