Brunching At The Breakfast Club

Picture a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, with a blue sky, minimal clouds with a cold crisp winds gently blowing through London. Beautiful, right?
Kelly who blogs over at Flat Eleven and I decided to meet at The Breakfast Club in Soho, for a catch up over some brunch and a cup of coffee.

On arrival there was a queue, a long one at that too but I was assured it would be worth the wait. None the less, we used the time wisely and started our catch up, wrapped up in our warm wintery coats and scarfs draped around our necks.

After an hour or so, we finally reached the front of the queue and got seated. We entered into what was a small, cosy café that welcomed us with its yellow walls and smiling waiting staff.
We sat down and had a little nosey at the menu and decided what we wanted.
My favourite part was the different bits of decoration that was plastered along one side of the wall.
Once we ordered, we continued our conversation that we left off from outside. I asked Kelly to strike a pose for the camera.
Before we knew it, our food and drinks had be served. I’m pretty sure it was about five minutes from ordering to it all arriving? It goes without saying, the service here was excellent!
I had the Eggs Florentine. Let me just tell you something, it was heaven on earth. The muffin was soft and warm, the spinach was cooked throughly and the egg… that was the best part. Slicing it open and experiencing the yolk just flowing out. Mmmmm!
Kelly had the Avocado and Poached egg, which had sprinkled chilli’s over the top. From what I heard, Kelly was in avocado heaven!
Kelly and I are both coffee lovers, it is what gets us through the day. Without a doubt, we ordered coffee to drink. Kelly went for the straight black coffee and I had my much loved vanilla latte.
It was safe to say, it was the BEST latte I have ever had. For somebody who stops at Costa/Starbucks on the way to university, I found myself telling Kelly that this latte was ten times better than what they served.
With our stomach’s full and our veins filled with caffeine, we headed out for a late afternoon stroll along Oxford St. Before we knew it, we found ourselves in Selfridges, admiring Louis Vuitton accessories and preparing our wish lists.
A Saturday well spent with brilliant company and delicious food.
