Bournemouth Festivities

I’m back!! Back to good ol’ Bournemouth. It feels good to be back in some aspects, seeing my parents, my friends and the horses. On the other hand, i’m surrounded by painfully slow walkers, a mass amount of chavs and limited shopping choices. You have to give and take I guess?
After being back for a few days, setting in and spending time with my parents and the horses. I finally ventured into town to meet the lovely Catherine. It feels weird saying town, since I am not used to really having a town centre in London! Catherine and I go way back, we met at our yard with our mutual love for horses, our friendship flourished.
We both are coffee lovers, so we thought it would a good idea to stop at Costa for a warm drink before walking around and admiring the festive goodness Bournemouth that to offer.  After a good old gossip,  some hot festive coffees, we hit the streets.

Bournemouth definitely did a good job of it all, since it only a small town. It definitely felt like Christmas though, being back in my hometown.
With a smashing ice-rink that has been added in for the winter season. I know many of my friends love a good ice-skate, but not me… a person who is terrible at it and prone to falling over a lot!
The lovely Debenhams (the Selfridges of Bournemouth… almostkind of), had some lovely lights hanging off the building surface.
A walk through the gardens at night is such a soul calming and peaceful thing to do at this time of year. With the lights providing a beautiful effect on the trees.
We even managed to get to the beach in time, for the sunset. My favourite place to visit when i’m home for the holidays.

I’m sure you can see exactly why too? Who needs to go away, when we have this on our door step. Absolutely breathtaking.
Cat and I took a perch on a beach, admiring the beauty and taking it all in. Bliss.
Cat looking beautiful as ever, admiring the sunset. Little did she know I took this… a cheeky natural picture!
Guilty… I shaved off my beard! It is only temporary, it will be back but for now it is baby face!

I never miss out on an opportunity to pull a silly face for a photo, clearly! 😉
The Christmas market stalls really set the scene, with the punters drinking at bar that had been set up specially for the holidays. Christmas is definitely on its way!!
Boy oh boy, it’s good to be back…
