Ho ho ho… Merry Christmas. Well, technically it is boxing day now. So I hope you all had a smashing Christmas, ate lots of food and were merry together with your loved ones.
What did the family and I get up to this Christmas? Come and join us around the tree…
Look at all those lovely gifts, wrapped with love and careful attention to not allow any peeping holes become visible.
Let’s take a step back though, Christmas is not about the presents, or the materialistic things. It is about taking the time to get together as family, enjoying one another company, eating lots of delicious food (getting fat!) and drinking lots too.
Since the presents were literally staring us in the face, so we decided to make a start on them but first… a family photo! I know, I know… How cheesy!

I was very lucky this Christmas, as I am sure many of you were too. My favourite present had to be the surprise set of 12 mini Yankee candles (I say surprise, because I knew about all the rest! ;-)) I am sure you all have seen/know about my candle addiction, so I was extremely thankful to receive such a well thought out gift. My family know me too well!
Post-present exchanging, we sat down to watch some Christmas movies. Heating on, chocolates out, mulled wine in our hands, giggling and enjoying Christmas as one big happy family – the way it should be.
Before we knew it, the evening had arrived and it was that time again – the festive roast dinner preparations. I think making it with my parents is a lot more fun than actually eating it, probably because I get a chance to bond with my parents over something we all love doing… cooking!
The Christmas table all set and ready to go, go, go! Christmas truly is a beautiful holiday, one of my favourites I must admit.
After lots of preparation, we finally sit down to eat as a family. Bliss.

A post Christmas dinner food baby was developing after a brilliant day, now I am going to spend the next week trying to burn off all the calories. 😉
