Blogging Stations

What does your blogging station say about you? I find where I blog has a big impact on how my creative juices flow. I remember when I lived back in halls of residence, I struggled to get any creativity in my small compact room. A short walk away was Starbucks, taking advantage of my love for lattes and the free wi-fi I would sit down and write a few blog posts at a time for the upcoming few days.
Since moving into my new flat with my sister, I find my ideas are better sitting in the lounge on the couch looking out over my balcony at the sky with some music playing in the background. There is something about the sky that keeps me at ease, relaxes me, which enables my deep thoughts to rise to the top.
Candles are a wonderful accessory to have on your blogging workstation. You get a lovely sense of warmth which is brilliant as the colder temperatures draw in but also get a lovely scent going too.  Another of my five senses in use to help create a perfect blogging atmosphere.
You guys are probably thinking Aftab has gone crazy, using sight and smell through candles and looking out at the sky to encourage his imagination. I honestly swear by it though, it genuinely works.
Having a drink or snack along the way, is a perfect way to build up some extra brain fuel to keep your writing flowing and preventing you hitting a wall. Whilst having a little nosh, listening to some of your favourite music by your most inspiring artists too. I once thought blogging was a simple thing, but in fact it is more complex that people perceive it to be.
Make your blogging station into your workspace, personalise it and really make it your own little hub where you can go there for some inspiration and to write a damn good piece of writing. After all, you  share with your fellow bloggers, friends and family.
