The Gentlemen Shoe Collection

My love for smart shoes started one afternoon shopping in Westfields, when I saw the most beautiful pair of light blue brogues sitting there on a rack in Office. It was love at first sight, most definitely another of my ‘must buy’ moments and again it proved to be so worth while.
When wearing them at first, I was a bit conscious as it wasn’t a common shoe colour that men tend to wear, after a few outings I lost the awkward feeling that everyone was staring at my shoes. Instead I decided to wear them more often, pushing the boat out there.
They are very well worn but they are just a pair that i’m not quite ready to part with quite yet. I still remember them in their entirety, all beautiful and sleek as you can see from the first picture. Even though they aren’t worthy of wearing out, they will remain in my shrine of shoes as the first ever gentlemanly shoe I bought.
Next came my favourite black House of Hound loafers, a proper cinderella moment when buying these, to a point where I even wrote a whole blog post on these alone (which can be read here). Sadly, this pair are starting to show early signs of ageing too.
Next came my beautiful summer lace up’s, the comfiest pair of shoes I have ever owned. I spotted these just as I was leaving the shop, they caught my eye and I just needed to try them on. Of course, they ended up coming home with me…

The newest addition to my collect are these tasselled loafers from Topman, these beauties took a lot of persuasion as they don’t fit the same way as my others do but they are just as nice to look at though.
That’s the latest collection, no doubt there will be many more to come.
What are your take on my gentlemen’s collection, is it enough to convert you?
Thanks for reading,
