The Summer To Autumn Transition

After a long summer of hot weather and partying hard with the long days, enjoying the sunsets after work and warm evening strolls along the beach, the bliss eventually has to leave us. As the mornings become more crisp, the leaves change colours – we know that it is time to welcome autumn.

We pack away our t-shirts and shorts and out come the thick coats and jumpers, on come the fireplaces with a hot chocolate in tow. The days get shorter and we spend more of our days in darkness than light.
The world is so beautiful, we are blessed with four extremely different seasons each bringing us the most amazing fashion lines along with it.
A/W fashion has to be my favourite, just because so much can be done with it. Your accessories for the season are your coats, scarfs and hats – you interchange them to fit your outfit as men and women would do earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces. Just like any other season, you will only look as good as you make yourself look.

Go that extra length to try something new this season, dress for warmth but try it make it look the part – push yourself out of that comfort zone.

Have a range of umbrellas for your rainy days, again with spicy colours to brighten up the gloomy rain clouds that follow you. The rain may ruin the majority of people’s moods but don’t let it take its toll on you.

Ladies, have you tried wearing faux fur hats? A brilliant way to add style to an outfit with the benefit of your head and ears staying warm… Perfect for this season!

Men, how about trying a trench coat this winter? Long enough to keep your suit dry in the rain whilst working the AW14 look too.

Replace your black coats with warmer colours, like plum, maroon, beige and cream. Instantly, people reach out for black. Say no to black! You take my word for it, change your colour schemes and you will never find yourself in a bad mood over the horrific weather.

Embrace the colder months, find the inner beauty that is forgotten about… I certainly am!
