When you live somewhere, how beautiful and amazing the place where you live really is. I was so excited to come and study in London, but I think the novelty has worn off after seven months. My aim is to fall back in love with it again, to find the true beauty of London and find new unique places to visit.
My flatmates and I always venture out on Friday’s, as it is a day that all of us are off from university and it is a nice time to avoid the weekend madness with tourists and kids everywhere.
Today we decided to go and visit Primrose Hill in Regent’s Park, I had been before but I wanted to take my flatmates to see it. The view is phenomenal, whilst nobody believes me that you can see most of London from there too. Lizzy & I thought it would be fun to run down the hill, luckily there were no trips or tumbles but it definitely gave us an adrenaline rush to say the least!
We then found a small ‘children’s park’ on our travels, where we just could not help ourselves and had to go and have a bit of kiddy fun! Whilst I was on the swings, I had realised that it was the first time in probably four years that I had been on swing. Let’s just say, I swung myself to the max! Such an enjoyable time feeling young again, being surrounded by kids no older than four years old. Who says I cannot be a big kid?!
On we went to Camden, after talking about an amazing ice-cream place that I followed on Twitter, I finally got the chance to try it. Chin-Chin Laboratories is a unique place, they make the ice-cream fresh in front of you using liquid Nitrogen. Everything in the place is in beakers and very chemistry based equipment, so I felt right at home! I even have my flatmates to vouch for this, it was literally the best ice-cream ever made in this world, so smooth and soft and it was worth every penny. I would recommend anyone to go and check it out!
After devouring our beautiful ice-creams, we had a little walk around Camden Market… It was interesting but I would say it is not my seen though, not a huge market person. My old American flatmate Nina would be very proud though, it has only taken me 3 months after her leaving for me to actually get round to visiting!
It only took a few hours for me to find that first love I had for London, there are so many different things to do and places to see here it never gets boring. It just takes somebody to push you in the right direction for you to get around to it. My advice for anyone, wherever you live, try and find new places that you have never been because it will be worth your while – trust me!
Thanks for reading,

This reminds me of that saying about London and how when you're bored of it, you're bored of life. I love London so much, even nearly three years since moving here. It's great that you've found your love for it again.
That is such a good way to phrase it. I definitely needed to get out a bit more and experience it all over again!
I love these posts where you explore london – it makes me want to visit too! I really want to visit Chin Chin Labs too – the concept sounds incredible!
