Green was a colour that I lacked in my wardrobe for a while until recently. I think it is a colour that is underrated. Different shades can relate to many things but for me, it associates with spring. The lush spring grass is growing, the leaves appear on trees again, new mammalian life is born… an amazing season and part of the year.
I rarely wear similar patterns and colours on top of one another unless it is all black, so wearing a tartan and checkered items of a similar colour was a bold move for me. The different patterns give it an trendy look without blending into one another.
Wearing a lighter bottom half, allowed it to give off a an airy, light and bright spring look. Casual yet smart all at the same time with minimal effort!
The look is just as great when the weather is getting just about warm enough to not wear a coat but still acceptable to wear a scarf. A perfect winter/spring transition outfit.
