I was thinking the other day about how my life has changed over the past year since I started blogging. There have been some amazingly brilliant times and those moments where I have wanted to give up the whole thing, but with a lot of perseverance I have become the blogger I am today.
I had wanted a blog for ages but I just never knew where to start and that is what always put me off. It was the initial hurdle that I had to get over to get it going, and boy o’ boy I am so glad I did too.
Even though I was born in England, my english was never up to scratch, I found it very difficult to express myself at the best of times with having very poor writing structure leaving me with average marks. That never stopped me though, a blog was what I was determined to obtain and I was not ready to let anything come in my way.
Today, I would like to think I have a much better writing prose but it is all thanks to this blog and reading various other bloggers posts too. Having never been a real book worm, I found that reading blog posts was a way of improving my english and getting some interesting information on topics of interest.
My blog has definitely provided with me a more creative outlook, on life too. Whilst photography was another passion of mine before, I gave it up after I had a full website made and everything due to not having a purpose for photography – I was not going to become a photographer after all. Blogging has brought back that interest of mine and combined it in, which has been a real winner for me. This lead me to purchase my latest toy the Olympus E-PL5 compact system camera (aka a mirror less camera) but there will be an individual post on that.
It has had an impact on my social life, being quite a timid and shy person when it comes to meeting new people it really has brought me out of my shell. Conversing with other bloggers over Twitter and organising/attending blogger meet ups, I have definitely winded my horizon and made some lovely new friends – always lovely to put a face to a blogger.
Alongside making friends, I have had the pleasure of working with various companies doing PR posts and getting my name out there a bit more. Safe to say some of which I have become a fan of, keeping up to date with their latest releases but an informal relationship via social networks too.
I am so thankful for Fresh and Fearless and a word of advice of anyone that wants to start a blog, do it!
Thanks for reading
