That point in my life came where my hair started to tell me something, it could not handle all the heat it was having to deal with and started to dry out and come a lot more fragile that it once was. I had two options, either naturally dry my hair or get heat protection spray. I instantly ruled out the naturally drying option, as my hair gets excessive volume when it is naturally dried making it harder to style – its a boys life!
Off I went on a hunt for a product that would keep my hair safe from excessive heats and came away with something better! I found a great love for this product, the TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray. Priced at only £5.25 or 2 for £7 (which I took advantage of) at Boots.
They say a little goes a long way and it does indeed, you only need to coat the surface of the hair in this spray and it does the job, protecting up to 230 degrees. I can see a real difference in the quality of my hair, so much softer and healthier. One bottle has lasted me 3 months, and I used it daily on my short hair so it may last half the time for ladies or gents with longer hair but nonetheless still worth it!
What gives this product the extra wow factor that any other heat protection does not is the styling part, it acts a bit like a hairspray without the disgusting sticky feel of a hairspray. It holds your hair in the same way you blow-dried it, which is what most people tend to blow dry their hair for – but this was an added bonus and I cannot imagine not having that extra benefit in it either. To top it off, it provides a lovely shine that makes your hair look better than ever, a real win, win, win situation right here!
I have definitely found the product that works best for me, I just pray that TRESemme never discontinue it! *prays*
