Firstly I am going to apologise to my readers for this post being late. I have a good excuse for not blogging, I went home for a couple of days – to get a much needed break from uni and London to see my parents and my horses.
I am just going to jump straight into it with this one, my favourite childhood toys. When I was a kid, I was never a fan of remote controlled cars or anything like that – did not interest me in the slightest. All I wanted was to be able to increase my collection of horse things. I had countless amounts of horse toy models that I did play with, my sister used to play with her barbies and my horses were owned by the barbie’s – things were so simple back then.
My favourite toy thought was a simple palomino toy model that I actually got for Christmas many moons ago. I remember seeing it in ASDA and asked my mum to buy it for me – it couldn’t have been more than £7 too but she refused to purchase it and put it back on the shelf. A few weeks later, when opening my presents on Christmas day out comes the toy horse that my mum rejected me. I soon enough learnt her tactics, she would find out what I wanted when I asked for something and would say no, then when it came to birthday’s or Christmas/Eid she used to give it to me then.
I was quite a simple kid, the littlest things pleased me especially when they came in small boxes and were horse related. It is amazing that once upon a time, I was just a little boy playing with my toy horses and all those years later, I have my own real horses.
Thanks for reading,
