| …Yeah, I have changed a hell of a lot. Sweet Jesus! |
I was extremely excited about this post, as all the best changes in my life have occurred in the past two years. Time is such a beautiful thing. People say ‘Time heals all wounds’, and that is true. Life is not all about the good times, you have to push through and deal with the bad times although it makes you a stronger person in the long run.
People always ask me why I post so often on Instagram? This is the reason. I like to post my life milestones and important things in my life so then I can look back over the years and see what I have achieved, how I have changed and what I have gained/lost.
What has happened in the last two years of my life? Firstly, I got involved with the care of Niamh. You could say my first proper horse in a way. Spent a year of my life looking after her, she was a joy to look after and an affectionate creature too.
The next big milestone was the arrival of my boy, Blue. The days when I first fell in love with him when he came to my yard to be sold – little did I know this would happen! None the less, the best decision I have ever made.
I started showing, one of my life long goals after I lost my confidence in horses. It was definitely an experience. Every since then I never miss out a season of showing, especially when I have such a brilliant show pony.
I saw Lady Gaga live at her Born This Way Ball, where I came into terms with Jaye again. Ever since that day we have kept in touch and I still see her on a regular basis, now that we are both in London now! I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga anymore sadly…
From studying A-levels – working so damn hard and wondering if it would even be worth my while, going on interviews at universities and getting acceptances! Times have changed so much.
From meeting my best friend on Twitter, to visiting her in London a few times a year to now having her 10 minutes away, both studying in London now. She is my rock and an extra family member whilst I am in London.
Having a change of friends, some of the friends I have back then I do not have now. Some say it was for the best and some think otherwise. All I know now is the people I have now are the only people I need. You know who you are…
My older sister getting married and moving away and myself moving to London for university. Things have been quite full on. Having to get used to living away from family, my horse, my equine lifestyle, make new friends and make London my new home.
Passing my first semester exams and hopefully moving onto greener pastures in the near future too. Change is always for the best. Things happen for a reason, at first they are not clear but eventually the fog clear and you can see the light.
Seeing new things, trying new things, visiting new places. Going from being 18 to 20 years old. I have grown as a person, my personality has changed for the better but I am still myself. Experience has changed me and adapted me to be the person I am today.
Thanks for reading,
