Christmas At Harrods & Cake At L’eto

We are finally in December and Christmas is coming. It is the season to be jolly, eat lots of mince pies and get fat. Let’s leave any regrets about doing so until the new year!
When I heard the lovely Chloe who blogs over at New Girl In Toon, was in London from Newcastle I just had to spend some time with her. For as long as I know, Chloe has been a loyal reader of my blog and a fab blogger herself – it was just a must!
I met Chloe over at Harrods on a bit of a gloomy afternoon, but once I spotted her standing outside, our gleaming smiles definitely lit up the sky.
We thought we would check out the Christmas things in Harrods, see what they had to offer… It was quite spectacular really!

After some wondering, we spotted these two little cuties. We just had to take a picture with them, they look a bit lonely and in need of a bear hug!

I was having a bit of a bad hair/fashion day, so please excuse my mess of a look!

After we looked through the Christmas sections, we decided it was must for us to wander over to the food hall before leaving.

Chloe getting all festive with some Harrods mince pies!
When I saw this salmon gateau, I instantly thought of Angie who is over at Silverspoon London, who I know absolutely loves salmon!
We spotted some lovely looking desserts and cakes, that just looked heavenly and were so creative. The little snowmen cupcakes were the best!

These were the breaking point, we knew it was time for us to get ourselves some cake. We took a short walk over to L’eto in Belgravia.
We were seated in such a festive and cosy section downstairs, it felt so homely!

Once we got settled and warm again, we went upstairs to choose what cakes we were going to have, but there was just so much choice! They all looked so delicious.

We made our very difficult decisions and we headed back downstairs.
Chloe had the cherry muffin and a normal latte.
I went for the carrot cake and a vanilla cream latte. Little did I know that the cake slice would be this big!!
I am so glad I got the chance to finally meet Chloe before she went back up to Newcastle, as it was such a joyful and pleasant afternoon. I will definitely be coming up to Newcastle to pay you a visit soon!
