Happy Birthday Aftab! |
It that time again soon, my birthday is slowly approaching and another year to make dreaded plans. If you know me, I am not a huge fan of making birthday plans as previous years they have just ended in the worst nights possible and sometimes even tears. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for growing up and I do in fact look forward to my birthday but just not celebrating it.
Being born on the 8th of March 1994, I have always had to celebrate my birthday in the winter, not a fine time of year to be celebrating. None the less it has its benefits, it did mean that I was able to legally drink and drive before most of my friends.
So the big question is what do I do this year? I am leaving my teenage years behind and turning the big 20. Since I live in London, it gives me more of an opportunity to try something new instead of the usual wining and dining, or going clubbing. I want this year to be something spectacular, special and a birthday to remember, something that will make up for all the past rubbish birthdays.
I really want birthday celebrations that will last more than one day, but in fact last over three consecutive days, each day being something different. Let’s see what I can come up with and figure out how I can work my magic to make it happen.
The hardest part of spending my first birthday away from home is the fact that I am definitely going to miss my parents and friends from home being there. I am lucky that I have my sister with me in London though – some family is better than none! Of course, I can’t forget that i’ll be missing out on time with my little munchkin. 🙁
I feel I deserve something good in return – for all that I have had to deal with and the person I have become along the way. I am so ready to make these plans and have the best birthday yet!
Anyone got any ideas?
