Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

When it comes to obsessions I am not the best at admitting them, especially my incurable love for shoes. One cannot simply just have one pair of shoes, they must be at least one pair in each different colour, style, and material. Let’s not even mention brands, my aim is to own at least one pair by Christian Louboutin and Kurt Geiger. I have set myself off again, looking at shoes that are a couple of hundred pounds out of my price range… the life of a student!

After coming back to London yesterday, I felt a massive urge to go to Westfield’s and pick up a new outfit for any upcoming events or plans. Whilst I was not looking out for shoes, purely because all the styles at the moment have not been my cup of tea. However, I found myself wandering into Topman on this one occasion and strolled along to the shoe section to see what was on offer. It was love at first sight, I saw them and I just knew I had to have them! With me, if I have to think twice about a pair of shoes there is a large chance that I will not wear them enough to make use of them. I did not have to think twice on this occasion! What was even better, Topman were offering 20% student discount rather than just their standard 10% which meant I was saving double that I would have done normally – another box ticked.

I proceeded, asking the staff member to retrieve me a pair in my size. I did not even manage to get my foot completely in before I just felt the pure satisfaction of the quality. It felt like a Cinderella moment (Disney reference, I know, I know) where the shoe just fitted perfectly, gripping onto my foot firmly. I did not even want to take them off to pay for them, I just wanted to wear them for the rest of the shopping trip!

With elegance comes price, although they were more than I was expecting to pay I knew they would be a pair that would serve me for a while providing I took extra good care of them, after all they are suede.

I am definitely a very happy chappy to say the least, the best way to improve a post-easter holiday mood.
