Christmas Is Coming…

Another one of the world’s favourite festive holiday is slowly approaching, I think it is amazing all the effort people put into decorations, getting together, exchanging gifts and making delicious food.

Personally I love Christmas, it has to be one of the best holidays of the year (and I love the three weeks break too!) but that is another story. Christmas to me isn’t about nice food or exchanging gifts, it is about getting together with your loved ones – people that you haven’t seen in a while and celebrating it together.
This year will be an extra special Christmas I reckon because Shamina (my sister) and I are both at uni at the same time for the first year, therefore leaving my parents a bit lost without us. Having that time to get together and spend some quality time together will definitely be valued.

Another great thing about Christmas is Christmas Markets, I think they are so magical and festive! A friend, Lizzie and I walked along the embankment (along the river Thames) the other day to run into a beautifully set up Christmas Market with so many people, it really started to give off a lovely festive feeling.

As most of you will already know, I can’t go to a place like that and not take pictures, so i’m going to show you all what Christmas Markets are like – London style!

Approaching the market, how busy it was!
Hand-made Christmas decorations
They had an awesome pick and mix too!
They were selling big and small ginger bread houses!
All hand-made pieces of glass, molded into animals and other things

After the Christmas market, we decided to walk around to see what other Christmas decorations there were, literally some of the decorations were truly amazing. Some of them I had to stand in the middle of the road to take, to get the full effect. It’s so worth it, i’m so glad that I can spend Christmas in both London and Bournemouth – getting the best of both worlds.

This is my favourite picture, part of the London eye and Big Ben in the distance

This was the best decoration, it was even better in person.

I did stand in the middle of the road for this one… ooops!

Huge but beautiful tree in Covent Garden
Even the shops were decorated in Covent Garden, so beautiful!
These ball balls were probably bigger than me too!
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

As you can see, Christmas is just beautiful here… I think all of you should come and experience London at Christmas once in your life. It is amazing for its Christmas shopping too, especially as we have two Westfields, Oxford Street and all. Don’t get too jealous now guys…

I did in fact buy some gifts for my family, I just have to wait until Christmas day and hope that they like them! I’m not telling anyone what I got them, as that would be cheating and I know some how it would get back to them, you sneaky bunch!

I don’t want anything this Christmas, as I am already getting what I want – to spend time with my family…

Everyone get your Christmas shopping done, before all the good stuff has gone. Make it a special Christmas this year and remember, it is not all about the gifts – it is about getting together with loved ones and having a good time.

I hope you all have a fantastic run up to Christmas, and I will be sure you update you all soon!
