Mums…

Since moving to uni, I have definitely started to appreciate what my mum does for me. I never realised how much she did and how hard it actually is, until I started to do it myself but never did she complain about how long or how difficult it was.

Simple things like cooking, who knew it could be so hard?! She makes it look so easy. I follow the instructions exactly as she does it, but it’s never the same. There is definitely a secret ingredient in it, I call it ‘Mother’s Love’.

If I could show my mum right now how much she meant to be me… Actually I wouldn’t be able to, because there is nothing on this earth that I can physically do for her or give to her to show my appreciation. She’s an amazing woman, a warrior, a queen, but also has a tender heart. When we cry, she cries. When we are happy, she’s happy.

I can’t think of anyone else other than my mum that responds to their children’s emotions so sensitively.

My father is so lucky to have such an amazing woman as a wife, because she’s truly one in a million, beyond this world and amazingly beautiful too.

The man i’ve become today is down to one person, which is her. From the advice to the punishments, from the love to the physical care, she’s been with me every step of the way.

I’m so lucky to have her, she’s supported me through my horse riding, through having Blue, the run arounds back and forth from school, to the yard, to friends houses when I couldn’t drive.

She would even stay up late, just so she could pick me up at ridiculous hours of the morning, just to ensure that I got home safe and sound.

Not only is she a mother to be though, she’s been my longest and most honest best friend too.

It’s been quite emotional having to write this post, but I miss my mum very much and i’d love to be at home with her right now to tell her exactly how I feel but I can’t.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MUM.
