Bubbledogs is a place I have wanted to dine at for a while now, where they only serve hot dogs and champagne. Weird, you may be thinking?! Think again… it is the best combination ever. Bubbledogs caters for everyone, with pork, beef and vegetarian sausages. Whether you like your traditional pork, if you are muslim (like me!) and cannot eat pork then there is beef or if you are a vegetarian – there is an option for that too.
The menu arrived on a small clip board with the menu on small A5 paper sheets, never seen it presented in such a way but I actually liked it!
The decoration in the place was very creative, giving an American hot dog vibe but also having it’s own twist, with pictures framed of cartoon dogs riding on champagne corks – snazzy!
I was extremely impressed by the service they provide, offering you nice chilled water as soon as you arrive, with regular top ups as you please. The staff were really friendly and did a brilliant job of waiting us.
It would have been too rude not to get a glass of champagne though. It was beautiful, extremely good quality, lovely and cold too which complimented the meal very well. I ended up going for the glass of Gaston Chiquet.
I had ordered the ‘Forth of July’, just without the bacon. Leaving a succulent beef hot dog, with barbecue sauce and coleslaw on top – it was a bit messy to say the least!
Some sweet potato fries were also a must…
What a meal! Safe to say that I was well and truly full after it – I could not eat anything else. I will definitely be returning to Bubbledogs for sure, hopefully introducing some other friends to the lovely goodness of it too.
