Week Round Off #4

Hey guys & dolls! What have I been up to lately? Well the sun has been shining, I have sadly been getting darker too but the sun increases serotonin levels which means happy people… we like happy people!
Most of the way through Ramadan, only eight fasts left out of thirty. It has not been easy, but time has been flying through luckily. For those who do not know what ramadan is, it is a muslim tradition where for a whole thirty days a year, you do not consume any liquid or food from sunrise to sunset – hard right?!
I took my friends horse Dairmuid’s Choice (aka DC/Dermy) to a show, showing him in-hand coming a spectacular first and special. Was throughly chuffed! I think it is the show preparation that is the best though, get’s me into the mode. My first show since Blue had been sold, throughly missing him…
I have also been getting my bake on, people do not normally associate me with somebody that would have the ability to make decent goodies, but apparently I do – I have people regularly asking for more! Vanilla cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies.
To add to the uplifting news, I passed my first year university exams and got accepted by my new university for a second year transfer… from September I will be a Westminster University student – excited for my fresh start. Please to say that I have also secured a stunning apartment in London too, so things are really looking up.
My riding is going well, after having a long break whilst being at university. I decided to treat myself to a pair of stunning Cavallo leather riding boots for passing my exams and to encourage me to work harder and concentrate on my riding a bit more.
I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, about the way people treat me, the way I treat others so I decided the ‘quote of the week’ would be this… “It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”
Thanks for reading,
