Day 20: Something I Always Think ‘What If?’ About?

Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday day dear Aftab, Happy birthday to meeeee! Yes, today is the day. Finally leaving my teenage years and becoming an adult!

Back to the post now… I am a huge thinker in general so this is something I do a lot. ‘What if?’ I tend to associate that phrase with thinking about something negative rather than positive. For example, What if I ride today, I hurt myself badly and can never ride again? That could be just because I am quite a pessimistic thinker? It is not a great way to be…

A big thing I think about though is how my life could be different if I did not have the up bringing I did, or if I did things differently? Could I have saved a friendship if I said things differently? What if I did not have the family I did, how would my life be different? What would my world be like without horses? What if I never went to university or live in London? What if I never started blogging?

These are just a few things that jump into my head whilst writing this post. I wish I could be psychic and see into the future whilst analysing different situations and picking the best path. I guess, if we did that there would be no mix of emotions and feelings in life as everything would be perfect. It is our mistakes and the lessons we learn that make us better people and people we are today.

A spot of advice for you all (I should probably take my own advice), when thinking ‘what if?’, think in a positive manner and not about the negative side of things, because it will only push you away from pursuing your goals and what you really want to achieve.

Never think of what you could have done differently and appreciate what has happened, whether it be good or bad.
